The RTC Driver Strike is in its third day. When they walked off last, it was about their hard fought healthcare that the new management company, Keolis Transit, wanted to take away and replace with something inferior. While that issue was somehow resolved, drivers agreed to go back to work while the parties ironed out the remaining issues on the table. The problem is, Keolis has never gone to the table to negotiate. Since the beginning they’ve refused to negotiate face to face, but opted instead to strictly use a go between, a federal arbitrator. An arbitrator that, because Keolis wouldn’t negotiate in good faith, quit last Friday. So here we are again, at an impasse. No bus service for those of us who rely on it. And drivers have been without a contract since July
