Workmen were busy removing debris that washed down river and accumulated in this narrow offshoot after our recent mountain rains. Due to the location, heavy equipment could not be used to remove the drift wood and muck. Only pitchforks and lots of muscle, one bucket load at a time

UPDATE: Just wanted to show their progress. They started yesterday morning, and by this afternoon they should have most, if not all the debris picked up and trucked out. The cold waters of the Truckee River are once again flowing through this narrow offshoot.
