…that someone driving by in a pickup truck fired, what appeared to be, a BB/pellet gun at Union members walking the picket line late today. Four individuals were hit by the pellets. No report of serious injury. Local police are investigating.
This happened as the Union is nearing the second week of their third strike in four months. Members of the public are obviously frustrated with the lack of progress in the contract negotiations. As are the Union members. When the parties last met, Keolis Transit claimed to have made their best and final offer on a pay raise for the proposed three year contract. An amount which the Union promptly rejected as just not good enough. The strike continues…
