Our first measurable snow here in Reno is usually in the month of November, but not this early in the month. Looks like about 3 inches. Considering it was near 80 degrees just 2 days ago, the snowy temperature is a shock to the system

Seldom have I been lucky enough to record one of the many fly fishermen on the river actually catch something. This big Rainbow Trout didn’t offer much of a fight. But then again, he must have known his eventual release was imminent….

I have a lot of respect for nature photographers, as it was difficult to anticipate when this little guy would lift off and fly. After going through a number of out of focus images, these in flight shots were the best of the lot.
