Is this Patriotism?


Patriotism to me is volunteering. Either volunteering for military service or in your community. But there are those who think patriotism means merely flying a flag. If that’s your expression of patriotism, at least show an ounce of respect for our flag by flying it properly. It angers me when people treat Old Glory like this. This flag wasn’t being flown properly from the start. And it’s been hanging this way for weeks. …City Council meetings look like these days. Social distancing and masks required with City Council members safely up on a screen Zooming from home and the public in chambers dealing with the virus. Sadly, only 4 of the 7 council members found time to participate in the meeting. I love my Nikons, but…


…hate where they put the camera’s on/off switch. When I carry the camera over my right shoulder, there are times the switch is activated from merely rubbing up against my clothing. And then the sky is the limit every time the shutter button hits my body. Depending on the ambient noise, if I don’t hear the shutter actuate, I can find many of these blurry shots of the back of my leg. Odd Dumpster Diver


Not sure what precipitated this action, but I found it odd to see a Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputy standing in a dumpster in front of the courthouse, retrieving what appeared to be a couch that apparently was thrown out earlier in the day.
