With the river as low as it is because of the ongoing drought, there are only a few pockets of semi deep water left in the flow where trout may be hiding. One Fisherman who shouldn’t be


Got a little angry with this guy after he caught what looked like a medium sized Rainbow Trout. I could tell he was having problems, not only handling the slippery fella, but removing the hook. I always thought that “catch and release” meant using barbless hooks. But evidently this guy skipped that class. I could see the blood around it’s gills as he released it. And he seemed perplexed as to why the trout wouldn’t swim away. Instead floated away, upside down. I yelled for him to grab it and at least take it home to eat.
