Day of the Dead Themed Mural

Because of the Bus Driver Strike, I had to walk to the grocery store today. A nearly 4 mile roundtrip walk. I took advantage of the trip not only to get a few days worth of groceries, but to get a close up view of this mural. A mural that I pass in the bus whenever I go to the store. This sculpture sits on one of the many properties owned by Jacobs Entertainment situated along Fourth Street. In constant motion, this moving sculpture is constructed of various recycled metal auto parts and seems to move to the music that fills the air. Continue reading Moving Horse Sculpture

It was originally created on one of the many empty lots in downtown. The building next door (with the mural) has since been demolished and the entire block will soon see new development Continue reading Playa Art Park Sculptures
