Best dressed picketer
This must be the most best dressed picket line walker ever. Looking more like Daddy Warbucks in a three piece suit, tie and silk handkerchief, topped off with a Fedora and a gold YSL lapel pin, he proudly carried a strike placard with the rest to show his support for the Union. Three Strikes You’re Out?
Members of Teamsters Union 533 were back on the picket line today. The third Strike since August. This labor strike was about pay. With the cost of living rising by 6+ percent, Keolis Transit was offering a mere 4% increase on their proposed 3 year contract. Day 5 of the Driver’s Strike
Still no progress in the negotiations for a contract between Teamsters Local 533 and Keolis Transit. Union members and some members of the public are enthusiastically walking the picket line in spite of the 90 degree plus temperatures and sometimes choking wildfire smoke covering our valley. Next week we’re hoping for a breakthrough when a representative from the Governors office and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve try to move the negotiations along to a resolution that all can agree to. Continue reading Day 5 of the Driver’s Strike
