When the Silver Legacy Resort Casino opened it’s doors back in 1995, the big “Las Vegas Style” attraction was a full size silver mining derrick smack dab in the middle of the Casino floor, directly under the giant dome. Every hour, like clock work, the wheels would turn and the rig would hiss and groan, simulating a working silver mining rig.
